At JJVS, the organisers believe the best way to improve the socio-economic status of communities is to encourage people to determine development issues on their own. JJVS believes in the potential of each individual and in the community as a whole to develop solutions to these problems. Its work is divided into two main sectors: traditional systems of medicine and community development. Through these two initiatives, JJVS strive to promote values in society such as empathy with the poor in fostering social justice and equity, democratization, gender sensitivity, secular outlook, integrity, ecological sensitivity and above all transparency. JJVS also strive to implement its programmes keeping with the customs, culture, and tradition of the communities.
