Emergency Relief
Overview
Prior to this Jagran has worked with the community on many occasions on drought relief and famine .COVID pandemic had posed multiple challenges for people in terms of livelihood, health and socializing. Rural areas are particularly vulnerable due to lack of access to healthcare. Many people have lost their source of income while many have parted with their near and dear ones.
Strategic Approach
Jagran had reached 5lakh people through its Emergency relief in the district of Udaipur. Jagran had organized awareness camps, mobile health camps and livelihood linkage in rural Udaipur. Awareness camps were organized in community spaces with the help of pamphlets, banners, stickers and wall slogans.
Mobile health camp enabled our health team to reach maximum number of people in the remotest rural pocket. Traditional healers associated with Jagran have played a pivotal role during such health crises. Apart from this free medicines, immunity boosters, sanitary pads, Chawanprash and ration kits were distributed free of cost to people.
